From an Amish family in Tasmania, to a Chinese Australian widow in Darwin, piano tuner Martin Tucker encounters people across Australia. Through his craft the audience is introduced to a network of community, soul connection and listening, bound together by the vanishing skill of a piano tuner committed to his calling. 

From a tiny island at the bottom of the world, the piano tuner and much much more, Martin Tucker takes on a mission to save a musical instrument and his way of life. When pianos die, the piano tuner will follow, but Martin refuses to give up. To rescue instruments and himself from redundancy, he transforms into a rough travelling piano tuner. He is on a journey. From Tasmania to Darwin, Martin traverses the harsh Australian environment, one which is challenging for humans and even more so for pianos. Martin will create his own musical art of survival.

Hobart United is a soccer team unlike any other in Australia. Trained by charismatic African coach Eddie Mohammed, the team is made up of many different cultural groups; migrants, refugees and underprivileged Tasmanian misfits. They play differently, behave differently and think differently. And deep in the heartland of AFL country, not everybody is happy….
